Abstract

Today everybody’s concern is economic development in India. Economic development means growth plus progressive changes in critical areas which determines the well-being of the human. Economic development includes expansion of economic and social choices available to both individuals and nations. It is a complex process and affected by natural, economic and non-economic factors. Haryana is a developed state of India in terms of agriculture as well as in industrialization. The present paper discusses the structural changes facing by the economy of Haryana. The study is based on secondary data. There are three sectors in economy which contribute to economic development. These are Primary, Secondary and Tertiary. The share of primary sector is continuously declining whereas the share of secondary as well as tertiary Sector is continuously increasing in the state. It shows that the state economy is shifting from agriculture to manufacturing and services sectors, which is a sign of healthy economy. Key words: Structural changes, Net State Domestic Product
