Dr Zakir Hussain was born in Hyderabad city on 08th Feb 1897. He was a pathan of the upper middle class in the Muslim community. Initially his family was settled at Qaimganj that falls in the jurisdiction of District Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh.His father Mr FH Khan went to Hyderabad, studied Law and then he started practice. He collected and collated the Hyderabad High Court judgments to publish them. He also published many books on Law. His father died while Zakir Hussain was only ten years old and his family returned to their ancestral home at Qaimganj.
