The Research Paper aims at studying the banking sector in the light of human resource processes like preparing job description , designing competency dictionary, competency based PMS and TND programs. It gives a detailed view of the various challenges faced and training initiatives taken by the HR Departments of the banking sector. It also further provides the scope to study other HR processes in the banking sector which function from the output of the above mentioned processes. This paper also highlights importance of training programs and how they can give a competitive advantage to a company.
