Abstract

Football is very popular game in the world as well as in India. This game requires tremendous motor fitness, quick reflexes, intelligence and presence of mind on the part of both attacker and defender. The motor fitness enables football players to achieve better performance and high achievement. It is also opined that the geographical as well as climatic conditions of the place where an athlete lives also play vital role in the level of performance ability. This paper is an attempt to study the motor fitness variables amongst football players and identify the differences in the motor fitness variables between players of two different regions in Karnataka. The study focuses on players in Malnad and Coastal regions of Karnataka.
