Abstract

Domestic violence is a severe problem that may affect more than a half of women in our society. It is a vast area in which one can do deep research. This article focuses on physical violence by men against women partners during lockdown. Due to Covid-19 people are sitting at home specially men which cause anxiety, depression, frustration, fear of losing their jobs after lockdown, the survival is endangered for those daily wages workers. There is a lot of mental pressure and financial crisis which led to anger and resulted in domestic violence. Even the alcoholics are getting frustrated and beating up their wives and children, this shows gender disparity. There are different kinds of abuse; it can be physical, sexual, enthusiastic, financial or mental activities or dangers of activities that impact other individual. This incorporates any practices that scare, threaten, threaten, control, harmed, mortify, fault, harm or wound somebody. Aggressive behavior at home can transpire of any race, age, sexual direction, religion or sex. But women are more vulnerable. Domestic violence can affect women of all socio-economic backgrounds and education levels. Even some women face marital rape during lockdown.
