Industrial sector is viewed as a leading sector to economic development of India. Corona virus pandemic and the nationwide lock down have dealt a severe blow to the country's economy by severely affecting industries. According to Ministry of Statistics, India’s economic growth rate is dropped by nearly 3.1% in the fiscal year 2020(after March) that is due to corona virus Pandemic effect on Indian industries. Like all other industries the Indian automobile industry, much, is in deep water right now on account of the corona virus pandemic. This study presents the Indian automobile industries, prior, during and post pandemic scenario and provides insights into challenges and opportunities to the Indian automobile industry. This study is purely descriptive and utilized the published data to draw interpretations and conclusion.
