Abstract

Commonwealth Literature, New Literature in English, Post-Colonial Literature in English, World Writing in English – these are just some of the terms being used to describe the writings of ‘members’ of colonial power Britain. All terms seems to be similar but the thin line of difference exists what has been the journey of literature from commonwealth to postcolonial literature. There was lot of agreement as well as disagreement with the term commonwealth. Here in this I ll give a brief study of the literary journey of commonwealth to postcolonialism.
