Abstract

Children are more vulnerable than any other member of the society so they deserve a greater care, protection and safeguard of their rights and interests. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC) (1989) is the most widely endorsed child rights instrument worldwide, which defines children. the Convention declares “States Parties shall take all appropriate legislative, administrative, social and educational measures to protect the child from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse, while in the care of parents, legal guardians or any other person who has the care of the child.” The childhood today is dealing with an extensive range of crimes which may contain neglect, maltreatment, abduction, sexual abuse, Child homicide, exploitation, oppression, trafficking, molestation, pornography and many others.
