EFFECT OF TEACHER STUDENT RELATIONSHIP ON AGGRESSION IN ADOLESCENT STUDENTS OF SIRSA DISTRICT

Abstract

The present study is an attempt to study the “Effect of Teacher Student Relationship on Aggression in Adolescent Students of Sirsa District”. It is based on the hypothesis that there is significant effect of teacher students’ relationship on aggression in adolescent students. Problem of aggression is quite deep rooted in our society. It is common to find increasing number of cases depicting anger and violence among adolescents. It has been found that the students who have positive relationship with their teachers feel motivated to learn and supported. Students who have supported relationship with their teachers, text to work harder in classroom and pay more attention to the teachers. On the other side negative attitude of teachers towards their students cause aggression behavior in them. So the investigator tried to find out the effect of teacher-student relationship on aggression in adolescent students of Sirsa District. Four hundred adolescent students (400) consistent 200 boys and 200 girls were taken as the sample of the study. Self constructed and standardized tool of Students –Teacher relationship consisted 50 statements was also used to find out the level of relationship between students and teachers. The date was collected from the different blocks of Sirsa District by following the stratified random sampling technique. Data was analyzed by using frequence, Percentage; co-relation and regression statistical technique. The finding revealed that there is significant effect of teacher-Student relationship on the aggression of adolescent students.
