COMPARATIVE STUDY ON PROFITABILTY AND LIQUIDITY OF SPICE JET AND INTERGLOBE AVIATION

Abstract

The main focus of this study is to analyse the profitability and liquidity of selected civil aviation companies. Secondary data is been used four years (2016 to 2019) for the study. Researcher has used accounting tool - Ratio Analysis (Net Profit Margin Ratio, Operating Profit Margin Ratio, Current Ratio and Liquidity Ratio). Statistical tools – One-way ANOVA is also been used for data analysis. Hypothesis are been framed and tested by statistical tool- One-way ANOVA. In this research study researcher concluded that-There is no significant difference in Net Profit Margin and Operating Profit Margin ratio among the selected civil aviation companies whereas there is significant difference in current ratio and liquidity ratio of selected civil aviation company. Researcher also concludes that net profit margin, operating profit margin, current ratio and liquidity ratio of Interglobe aviation is comparatively higher than of Spice Jet. At last researcher concludes that financial position of Interglobe aviation is comparatively stronger than of Spice Jet.
