Abstract

Extant literature has shown several studies in the area of Job Satisfaction, Life Positions and Time Structuring independently. It has been observed that there is a constant conundrum pertaining to whether psychological theories can be effectively implemented to measure the parameters of work Attitudes. Behavioral scientists recommend the use of Life Positions theory to understand interpersonal relations in the organization. This article suggests that the statement “We are'' most accurately describes the fundamental Life Position of individuals and identifies some areas in the organization where existing Life Positions can be aligned to the Job Satisfaction of the individual. Taking the phrase “I’m OK, You’re OK” and its variants as its theme, the article aims to create a theoretical framework which can measure Job Satisfaction via Time Structuring methods used by the individual. The analysis of the framework through a questionnaire, resulted in the reduction of multiple factors affecting the Job Satisfaction of an individual. This paper will help the managers to understand the factors leading to job satisfaction through Time Structuring and Life Positions.
