Abstract

Reiki is a type of gentle touch energy work, focusing on balancing the flow of energy in a person's physical and energetic body. When the energy is balanced, the body and mind are in a state of optimal health. There are many reasons that Reiki is an exceptional choice for athletes. For one, wear and tear on your body from training and competing is a given. Reiki can reduce the negative effects of working out, the physical discomfort, helps support healthy muscle function through decreased healing times and stress. Reiki can help athletes handle all stresses and realize a sense of physical and mental calm, and inner harmony.
