Abstract

Immunization is one of the services provided by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme. Immunization is an important component of Integrated Child Development Service because it not only contributes to the objective of reducing mortality of infant and child but it is also essential to bolster the capability of a person to fight any incidence of bacterial or viral infection through his or her life. Under Integrated Child Development Services, there is a provision ensure timely immunization of children and women through health development and creating awareness among the communities about immunization as well as motivating people to ensure timely immunization of children and of pregnant women.
