UNIVERSITY LEVEL ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM TOWARDS ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENSION ON STUDENTS IN NEPAL

Abstract

Present study examining association between entrepreneurship development curriculum in bachelor level of Tribhuvan University management stream and entrepreneurial intensions of those studying in this level. This research work is guided by pragmatism philosophy. Quantitative and Qualitative study have done under the exploratory and descriptive research design. Structured questionnaire survey was conducted among 150 students equally from two campuses; one is community (Makawanpur Multiple Campus) and another is private campus (Hetauda School of Management). Also six interviews were conducted with lecturers and students and two FGDs were organized with the students of same campuses. Statistical analysis was run for examine the association among the variables with the help of Chi-square test, multiple regression, ANOVA and thematic analysis was also done for interviews and FGDs. Findings of the study was consistence with both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Entrepreneurial intension among students strongly associated with the curriculum of university. Students are found psychologically ready to choose entrepreneur as career. Meanwhile managerial skills development practical courses, social acceptance and initial support like finance, infrastructure, incentives etc. are seemed required factors to translate entrepreneurial intensions into venture creation.
