Abstract

The Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) was recognized under the Gujarat Industrial Development Act of 1962, with an objective of quickening industrial development in the state of Gujarat, GIDC plays a very vital and fundamental role for the development of the industrial estates in the whole of Gujarat As compared to the development of industries, there has not been much development in the provisions made by GIDC. This means the ratio rate of growth of the industries is faster than the growth of GIDC, which proves inadequate for the development of industries. The study would find out the role of GIDC in various aspects and check if the availability is apt and in accordance with the industrial units already setup there.
