FACTORS AFFECTING ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT OF AGRIBUSINESS ENTERPRISES IN MEGHALAYA

Abstract

Small and micro enterprises in agri- businesses in North Eastern part of India play a very important roles towards the development of the region as well as the nation. But the vary geographical condition of the region stand as a barrier and create geo–political tensions which ultimately act as most disadvantages factors in creating a conducive atmosphere in the path of development . The present study focuses on major barriers and perceived solution to these barriers for entrepreneurship development for the success of businesses in North East India particularly in Meghalaya. Questionnaire based survey was used with a sample size 50 nos. small and micro enterprises in Meghalaya. The findings shows that most emphasis should be given on psychological factor in an effort at developing agri-business enterprise in Meghalaya.
