भारतीय समाज के विकास में नागरिक शिक्षा की आवश्यकता एवं महत्व

Abstract

शिक्षा व्यक्ति के विकास और समाज की सम्पन्नता का एक मुख्य साधन है। व्यक्ति और समाज का विकास सदैव एक राष्ट्र के समक्ष तत्कालीन उद्देश्य के रूप में विधमान रहता है। इन्हीं उद्देश्यों की पूर्ति के लिए कोई राष्ट्र भावी पीढ़ी के निर्माण में शिक्षा व्यवस्था को अपना आधार बनाता है। भारत एक लोकतांत्रिक, पंथनिरपेक्ष और बहुसंस्कृतिवादी देश है अतः इन मूल्यों की प्राप्ति तब संभव हो सकती है जब नागरिकों को इनके महत्व और प्रांसगिकता के बारे में परिचित कराया जाये। इसलिए नागरिकता की शिक्षा को आध्ुनिक भारतीय शिक्षा व्यवस्था में आवश्यक तत्व के रूप में रेखांकित किया गया है। समाज में सहनशीलता, संस्कृति का सम्मान, वातावरण का संरक्षण, अल्पसंख्यकों के शोषण की समाप्ति का प्रचार और जागरुकता नागरिक शिक्षा द्वारा ही प्राप्त किया जा सकता है इसलिए नागरिक शिक्षा का महत्व आज सभी राष्ट्रों के मध्य में स्थापित है।
