Abstract

Religion is a way of life for some, a means to achieve something higher, a set of rules and regulations which can help a person maintain his morals, values and mind. Religion has taught man how to behave and treat others in the society. A big question arises Has religion played a very positive and constructive role in the history of man kind ? It is in question mark to think that religion has guided man in positive manner. Religion is no doubt important for overall development of a person. But the role and effect of religion on the social, political, economic life of the person is a disputed issue.
