’स्लम्स में रहने वाले लोगों की स्थिति व उनमें किये गये सुधार हेतु प्रयासः जयपुर शहर का एक अध्ययन’

Abstract

भारत संसार का द्वितीय सर्वाधिक जनसंख्या वाला देष है जहां अभी भी बहुसंख्य लोग स्लम्स में निवास करते हैं। रोजगार की तलाष में या उच्च षिक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिये ग्रामीणजन के शहरों में आने से नगरीय जनसंख्या तेजी से बढ़ रही है। जिसके कारण स्लम्स में रहने वाले लोगों की जनसंख्या भी तेजी से बढ़ती जा रही है। आज प्रगति की ओर विकसित हमारा देष स्लम्स और उससे जुड़ी अनेकों समस्याओं की ओर भी बढ़ता जा रहा है जो की एक चिन्ता का विषय बन गया है। स्लम्स में रहने वाले लोगों की स्थिति अत्यधिक दैनीय होती है। इनके पास न तो रहने के लिये घर होता है, और ना ही खाने के लिये पौषटिक आहार होता है। अपराध और उससे जुड़ी समस्याऐं स्लम्स में आम बात है। इस लेख में जयपुर नगर निगम में स्लम्स का आलोचनात्मक अध्ययन किया गया है।
