Abstract

We all have read stories in which bad and corrupt people were hanged or stoned to death. Kings and rulers would crush the head of the villain under the elephant’s paw. Prisoners were left in the dark dungeons and slowly starved or tortured to death. There were also gruesome stories of burning oil and nailing the heads. But these stories were from the historic times when human rights were not recognized by the state as much.
