As we know that the current era is of business. Earlier the business activities were limited to earning purpose only but in present scenario its meaning is totally changed. The credit of this change goes to promotion mix and especially to advertising. Now we can find a small scale business to a multi billionaire business empire in this world. Advertising is a part of ‘promotion mix’ which itself is a part of ‘marketing mix’. So, here in this paper an overview of advertising is provided in this aspect.
