Abstract

Food is an edible substance that satisfies our hunger. A good quality, nutritious and healthy food full of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins is necessary for our well-being and survival. The availability of sufficient amount of food that meets our hunger is necessary, but the quality of food should also be good. Nowadays food security has become a critical issue in world because food is unavailable to all people, children all over the world are affected because they are not getting food for even one time for many days, however, the sad part is that those who are getting food are eating adulterated and unhealthy food, treated with harmful chemicals, preservatives and pesticides. It is recently investigated, May-June, 2015, that popular noodles brand contain excess amount of lead which is fatal to human health. There may be many more such solid and liquid food items which may be harmful to human health. The question is on the one hand common man is fighting for food security and on the other he is forced to eat adulterated food as the price of organic food is very high and unavailable to common man.
