FEMALE TOWARDS COLLECTING ART

Abstract

Feminist though changed the direction of Indian Art. Starting from 1970s Feminism developed active participation of female artists in Indian Art. Today their (Females) role in Indian Art is noteworthy. Females are making their way to desirable career. And when we come to Art Market and Art Collection, here also they are playing important role. Females are taking interest in collecting art. In the field of art we can see a large number of females who are collecting art such as- Kiron Nadar, Czee Shah, Tina Ambani, Sangita Jindal, Rakhi Sarkar, Renu Modi, Malika Amin, Lekha Poddar, Pheroza Godrej.
