Badala Padma Ata has an important place in the religious and cultural history of Neo-Vaishnavism in Assam. Mahapurusha Madhavdeva played an important role in spreading and establishing the Ekasarana Nam Dharma introduced by Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva.
