ABSTRACT:- For sustainable use of land proper planning and monitoring is required. Accurate, reliable, comprehensive and spatio-temporal information on land use practiced in a city are pre-requisite for sustainable land management. Remote sensing and Geographical Information System offers cost effective solution. City planner needs data for both macro and micro level analysis of the land-use planning. With the growth of population and economic activities of human beings, land use and land cover is being modified for different purpose. GIS and Remote Sensing play an important role in generating automated spatial datasets and establishing spatial relationships. This paper analysis the land use and land cover of parts of Siwani blocks in Bhiwani district by using Remote Sensing data. The various categories of land use in the study area consists; Built up land, Agricultural land, Forest plantation, Waste land, Water bodies. In the study area maximum area is covered with waste land having 451.05 sq. km area of land.
