JOB RELATED STRESS AND ITS MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The information presented gives a clear picture that the work related stress is an emerging issue in the world that affects not only the health and well-being of employees, but also the productivity of the organisation. As a result of this stress, more and more managers are showing signs of chronic fatigue and burnout. According to National Health and Safety Commission, work- related stress accounts for the longest stretches of the absenteeism. This paper is based on the analytical study made on the above topic.It highlights the different cause of stress and indicates the problems that are faced by employees because of stress. It also seeks to identify the signs and symptoms of stress that can be recognised by the individuals both in themselves and others.The aim of this paper is to provide insight that will help the reader to further improve his/ her management competencies in managing stress in the workplace.
