Abstract

This paper intends to study the role of Dr. B.R Ambedkar in the emancipation of women in the Indian society. It would highlight and analyze the status of women in the social context from the ancient to contemporary period. Women empowerment is a process in which women gain greater share of material, finances, knowledge and decision making in the society.
