Abstract

Pakistan is a country with a long history of military rule. It is seen by many as a potentially game changing milestone in Pakistan's political and constitutional history largely because previous attempts towards democratic transition of power resulted in Martial Laws, Military coups and even assassination. The restoration of the Chief Justice was a game changer in the constitutional history of Pakistan and a very important step towards the transition towards a substitutive democracy.
