Abstract

Shri. Amitav Ghosh named the trilogy after the name of ship ‘Ibis’ which was known for carrying slaves across the Indian Ocean. Ibis Trilogy has been divided into three sections; namely ‘Land’ ‘River’ and ‘Sea’. It captures a vivid picture of mass migration of Indians from here to other countries and sometimes even to other continents.
