Abstract

Mentalization is conceptualized to be a clinical hallmark of impaired interpersonal functioning in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Previous research establishes that affective and cognitive constructs of emotional regulation and working memory capacity independently contribute to this ability. However, due to their existing relationship, the variables have an impact on one another.
