Abstract

This paper attempts to explore the impact of perceived organizational support on affective commitment and organizational role stress of police officers in West Bengal. Previous scholars have recognized police service as highly stressful. West Bengal police officers are no exception in this regard. The prerequisite for performing an efficient and effective police service is a stress free and supportive work-organization.
