Abstract

Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni was born in Kolkata( India) in 1956 and migrated to the USA at the age of nineteen for higher studies. Her novel Queen of Dreams (2004) is set in America in the backdrop of 9/11 tragedy and studies multicultural questions both from the point of view of the host community as well as of the immigrants.
