Abstract

Human trafficking, particularly of women and girls, is not a recent problem. Although it has existed for a long time in a variety of forms, the globalization setting has given it startling new dimensions. It is a complicated, multifaceted phenomenon with multiple institutional and commercial stakeholders. The purpose of this article is to investigate and analyze the root causes and exacerbating elements of human trafficking.
