Abstract

Drama is the most creative and socialized form of drama. Drama bridges the gap between reality and fantasy. It has long rooted in India literature. After independence, a new form of Indian drama in English, came into existence. For the writers like Vijay Tendulkar, Mahesh Dattani, Girish Karnad and Badal Sarcar brought the drama at new heights with their bold and innovative experiments.
