Abstract

OOP payments are made directly by individuals at health centers when the full cost of a health good or service is not covered by any financial protection scheme. Out-of-pocket (OOP) healthcare payment is the most important healthcare payment mechanism in our country. OOP payments have pushed many households into poverty.
