Abstract

One of the major development programs undertaken by the Government of India to enhance the skill is “Skill India”. The toughest challenge is skilling of women than that of men. The oldest scheme introduced by Government to upgrade the skills of women is “Support to Training and Employment Programme” for women. This was implemented in India in 1986.
