Abstract

This paper aims to disentangle the intrinsic ideas that is embedded in the Part one of the novel Cocoon . Subaltern is a term that has been in vogue and the writing gives voice to the voiceless , the depiction is not only about the suffering ,subjugation and annihilation but about their life and the environment in which they are brought up and their psychological progression which happens in the period of time.
