Abstract

The media is objectively significant and acts as a crucial element to government and politics. The media plays a central role in the communication of the government with the public sphere. A fundamental element of the centrality of the media to today’s political system is the near-instantaneous delivery or live broadcasting of political events and issues through the medium of television and Internet. By any objective standard, the media is critically important to the government and politics.
