COMPREHENDING LAL DED BEYOND MYSTICISM

The purpose of this essay is to understand the hidden perspectives, apart from the concept of mysticism, present in the poetry of Lal Ded. An attempt has been done to search for more possible interpretations. Despite mysticism being the dominant theme in her poetry, I attempt to locate the ‘multi-dimensional’ personality of Lal Ded rather than confining her just to mysticism. The analysis was furthered by the literature review and assessing the related sources by categorizing them under various themes, and contexts.
