Abstract

Literacy is one of the prime socio-economic elements of modern society in a population that accelerates the social and economic developments. Present paper analyses the pattern of literacy in Haryana over a period of 10 years from 2001 to 2011. The study is based on secondary source data obtained from census of India 2001 to 2011. The main faces of the study are in the explanations regarding the pattern and differential of literacy in Haryana.
