Abstract

Relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation and deep breathing activate the body’s relaxation response, a state of restfulness that is the opposite of the stress response. So the present study aimed at determining the effect of mediation in coping with stress. It also attempted to study the difference in the degree of stress among male and female respondents. The final sample was consisted of 200 respondents (100 mediators and100 non-mediators) with equal number of males and females from age group of 35-55 years were selected with the help of simple random sampling from west U.P.
