Abstract

In a human society health and healthcare is understood in terms of its own cultural context. On the basis of this, people have different perception on health, illness and its causation which are the product of that culture. For instance socio-cultural and environmental beliefs and practices to tackle these issues. In the tribal communities traditional healing is the primary source of health care which is based on traditional knowledge and healers are a part of their culture that perform and prescribe different healing practices.
