Abstract

This study reviewed documents that have influenced understanding of key governance issues on educational policies and programmes in India in the context of Sustainable Development Goal-4 on Education, and the Global Agenda 2030. Focus was on quality education at primary and secondary levels, as defined with reference to the education policy and programmes in India. This study identified many dimensions of strengths and weaknesses of schemes related to educational development of country.
