This paper is a study regarding solid waste management in Municipal Council Kangra town of Himachal Pradesh. Kangra town is having a population of 9528as per census India, 2011.2,250 houses comes under jurisdiction of Kangra Municipal Council. Kangra town geographically is divided into two parts Old Kangra and New Kangra. Old Kangra is a place of historical importance and New Kangra is a commercial and religious place. Kangra Municipal Council is divided into 09 municipal wards. Town shares its boundaries with Panchayat Haler Kalan and Jogipur. National Highway 503 passes through the town.
