Abstract

A banking institution is the backbone of the Indian Economy. Because banking Industry comes under the Service sector and the service sector has much more contribution to GDP as compared to other sectors of the economy. There is a tremendous change in the banking sector over the past few years. After the LPG (Liberalisation, Privatisation, & Globalisation era in 1991, now banks have become much more competitive in terms of all global presence. Due to competitive pressurize, nowadays banks are stressed to give loans & advances to borrowers without proper checking. Cooperative banks are one of the important constituents of the Indian Banking Industry, especially in the field of rural areas for agriculture, MSMEs, and Persons of limited means.
