DNA analysis is typically employed to discover criminal activity; however, it is also utilized in civil proceedings to determine the fatherhood of disputed offspring. The majority of instances involving challenged paternity emerge as a result of connection orders, divorce processes, or questions about legitimacy. In recent years, there has been an increase in the usage of DNA evidence in criminal investigations. DNA testing has assisted low-level law enforcement in identifying culprits and solving tough sexual assaults, murder with rape, and so on. Rapid identification of people in mass disasters using DNA typing is also conceivable. In several countries, computerized DNA databases for the identification of criminal offenders have been constructed.
