Abstract

Climate change is considered to be one of the biggest challenges facing the population in the 21st century. The emergence of the climate change topic has received massive recognition and has thus triggered debate among scholars, scientists, as well as the common people. The present study begins by reviewing the existing scenario of climatic and environmental change and attempts to identify the emerging trends of climate change in the present setting. The primary objective of this paper is to analyze the positive impacts of climate change in the context of the Indian economy. Therefore, as a prelude to this analysis, the study provides a comprehensive assessment of the Indian economy, the significant effects of climate change in the different sectors of the Indian economy, as well as its socio-economic implications on human activities.
