Abstract

The study sheds light on the concept of feminism and its effect on bringing women empowerment in India. The concept of feminism refers to the political and social movements against gender inequality in society. There are many pieces of literature in English that are based on the concept of feminism and provides information about the three waves of feminism and their impacts on the condition of women in society. Apart from that, the concept of women empowerment refers to the establishment of the women in society as well as it refers to the equal opportunities for the women as men. Many novels such as Mrs. Dalloway written by Virginia Wolfe involves the concept of feminism and its importance for women empowerment in society. Along with that, the novels also explore the importance of women empowerment for the development of the society.
