Abstract

Bargarh is the headquarter of the district of Bargarh situated on the bank of river Jira. By the third decade of the twentieth century known until as a commercial centre. It came to occupy a prominent place in the map of Odisha because it not only produced a large number of freedom fighters but had the unique distinction of producing different freedom fighters of western Odisha.
