The present paper tries to consider Eugene O’Neill’s The Great God Brown and finds answers to questions about the main reason of the destruction of men’s inner peace of mind. O’ Neill’s poses the story about the destruction of not only the peace of human mind but the main factors of his loneliness, loss of faith in their relationship and reason to turn away from God. The Great God Brown presents a penetrating study of the inner conflict of the human psyche as it struggles to cope with betrayal, failure and a search for identity.
